Copywriting: a book about marketing a book
Owner Dan Wardrope approached me, through my connections with copywriting agency Write Arm. What he needed was help finishing a book (that advised cosmetic surgeons, amongst other things, to write a book).
Dan had written the majority of his book but it needed a lot of tidying up, a lot of extra material and, as ever, it needed completing fast.
In just a couple of days the book was ready for publication.
A fantastic book had just been made truly awesome.
If you want to understand content marketing I urge you to read it, whether you are a demon with a scalpel or not.
It’s witty, easy to read and packed with some leftfield but right-on-target ideas.
Web Copywriting: landing pages
Australian cosmetic surgeons face strict regulations over the use of testimonials on their websites. So strict, in fact, that they are not allowed to use any.
Testimonials are a great conversion tool so, in the absence of any, I was asked to tighten up the landing pages of a Sydney practice. Using video, before and after shots, offsite links (usually considered anathema for a landing page), non-clinical language, audience empathy and a warm, approachable tone, the landing pages were transformed into powerful, persuasive lead generators. As they should be.

I am currently working on SEO for Dan on an online car sales site: SellYourCarFast.com.
The site is audited, traffic analysed, content opportunities reviewed, links documented and competitor link analysis undertaken, but it’s really early days yet.
